Alton Russell “The Georgia Tale Teller”
Georgia Storyteller and entertainer, Alton Russell, of Columbus, Georgia, tells stories of the old West, the pre-1840 frontier, early American history, ghost stories, fairy tales, and outrageous tall tales.
Alton Russell has been a storyteller and entertainer all of his life. From a very young age, he told stories about how he knew Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and John Wayne and how they lived on a working ranch in Texas. None of the stories were true, not one bit, but every good storyteller should be able to tell tall tales. That fine day, a long long time ago, a great storyteller was discovered.
Alton tells tales to both adults and children with a specialty of wearing different costumes to fit the theme of the stories.
Alton tells outstanding stories about the history of our great country including stories about The Revolutionary War, The Declaration of Independence, The War of 1812, and an exciting timeline of our original National Anthem . . . of course, all dressed in period-correct attire. History at its best.
